Cookie Policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

This policy explains cookies and similar technologies used on circle-slash.com, operated by Karl Talbot trading as Unhinged Games. Contact [email protected] with questions. Read our Privacy Policy for information about personal data and your rights.

Your choice

Essential cookies support security, authorised sign-in and remembering your cookie choice. Optional Jetpack analytics is off until you select Accept analytics. You can select Reject analytics and continue using the site. Use Cookie settings in the footer at any time to change or withdraw your choice. Neither scrolling nor continuing to browse counts as consent.

What cookies and similar technologies do

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. Scripts, pixels and browser storage can also store or access information. This policy covers those technologies as well as cookies. A tracking service can receive information even if it does not set a cookie, so our analytics control also blocks Jetpack’s analytics script until you accept.

Essential cookies

These features operate when needed to deliver or protect the service or remember the choice you requested. Rejecting analytics does not disable essential security or authentication features.

Optional analytics

With your consent, Jetpack Stats, provided by Automattic, records site visits and interactions to help us understand which pages people use. It may process your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring page, approximate country and event times. This uses a remote script and tracking requests; it does not require an analytics cookie to measure a visit. The tracking script is withheld until you accept analytics.

Automattic describes its handling of visitor information in its visitor privacy notice and cookie policy. Jetpack’s Stats documentation states that identifiable Stats logs are retained for 28 days. Aggregate statistics may be retained longer. We honour browser Do Not Track requests for Jetpack Stats.

Other feature preferences

Authorised WordPress users may have wp-settings-[user ID] and wp-settings-time-[user ID] cookies for screen preferences, lasting up to one year, and wp-saving-post for editing, lasting up to one day. If a comment form offers to remember your details and you request this, comment_author_[hash], comment_author_email_[hash] and comment_author_url_[hash] can last up to one year. These are feature-specific and are not used to track ordinary visitors for advertising.

Changing your choice

Open Cookie settings in the footer and select your new choice. Withdrawing analytics consent reloads the page to stop the already-loaded analytics script; it does not undo information sent while consent was active. We ask again when your stored choice expires or is removed. Your choice applies to this browser and device.

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect sign-in, security checks and our ability to remember your choice. If your browser will not save the analytics choice, analytics remains off. Third-party websites reached through links have their own policies.

Policy updates

We will review these controls and this policy before introducing new tracking services. The date at the top shows the latest update.
